Travelling around the snow fields between Wodonga and Omeo via Bright and Mount Beauty in Victoria was a sight to behold even though the snow falls were very poor for this time of the year. Several rest areas including Nug Nug Reserve and Mongans Bridge Camping Park are good places to use as bases to explore the area. Nug Nug was $3.50 pppn (cold showers) and Mongans Bridge $63.00 per week for a powered site and the free use of a washing machine (hot showers). For those wishing to stay for 12 months at Mongans Bridge, the cost is about $600.00 (Approx $12.50 per week for a powered site).
