Travelling along the beautiful Omeo Highway from Tallangatta to Omeo Travellers are greeted by many delightful camping areas, that are situated beside the Mitta Mitta River, such as Pigs Point Reserve, Tallandoon Rest Area and beside Snowy Creek is the Walnuts Campground. The road is sealed all the way except for the last 3k which is good gravel. We recommend this well shaded and level camping area, as well as the drive through the valley, for a couple of nights stay.
